Warstock Community Centre, Daisy Farm Road, Warstock, Birmingham

Keen dancers may wish to attend all of these lessons and dance the whole night: there is no extra charge for this.

Hoe downs are held from time to time at this class. Here the dancing is fast and furious with just a quick run through. You bring your own food and drink to make the party flow. Details of the next one will be shown on the latest news page.

Beginners / Improvers 7.30pm - 9.00pm.

The Beginners Class is aimed at anybody who's never tried linedancing, but has always fancied having a go. I have a lot of time and patience for beginners and I am always happy to move at your pace. Handouts for basic dance steps and dances are provided for you.
Beginners are very welcome at my class and dances are taught to their level. So don't get impatient with yourself and you will get there in the end.
Don't give up after one lesson, it takes a little time to master some of the steps, learning the basics is the first thing to do, then the more complicated moves follow. Most importantly, don't compare yourself to others ~ we're all individuals. Soon you'll be taking your Bronze and Silver Medals.

Once you have learned the basics you'll be looking for a little more of a challenge, so join me at my Wednesday Intermediate Class. Here I teach slightly more difficult dances that are more rewarding once you've mastered them. This class also gives you the opportunity to take higher levels of Medal and practice amongst people of a similar standard. There is a short break between this and the intermediate class.

Intermediate Dancers 9.00pm - 9.10pm.

The more experienced dancer looks for something more challenging and energetic and if you join me at my Wednesday Intermediate / Advanced Class you will hopefully find what you're looking for. This class is for those dancers who've achieved several medals and are looking to gain higher ones.
I try to cover a lot more of the up to date dances at this class, to popular music from the charts, such as Hot Summer Fun, Hold your Horses, Don't Stop Moving and also music from Feet of Flames and Lord of the Dance.
Depending on the level of the dancers at this class, we cover a range of difficulty between Gold Bar I and Star V level, and it is here we practice for the medals, taken throughout the year.

So if you fancy joining me then come along and if there's a favourite dance you would like me to do then let me know.

Requests - 9.10pm - 10.00pm

Children are welcome at many of my classes, with parental permission, but I ask that, if they are attending the Advanced Class, they should be of Gold Bar I level or upwards. Our best dancers are often those who have started at a younger age and the classes provide the opportunity for them to make friends outside of school. As well as being great fun, linedancing is a brilliant way to reach their 60 minutes of exercise each day.
Children £2.00 per class (up to 18 years of age if still in School or College) Adults £4.00 per class.
